Welcome to Deacon’s Hope Rescue!
Things can move very quickly here at DHR, so sometimes new dogs are applied for when they first appear on Facebook and their pages never materialize here because we're busy saving more dogs. We do the best that we can given that we are an all volunteer community of folks trying to match great dogs with fabulous forever homes. Please follow us on FB for all of the new dogs coming into our program so you don't miss out and feel free to explore our website to see all of the great dogs still waiting (or almost ready) for a wonderful new home!
READY FOR ADOPTION
NOT YET AVAILABLE
Please check back here or follow us on Facebook for updates on the above new dogs who either need their initial medical exams or are on medical hold for ongoing care before they can be considered for adoption. It can be quite difficult to keep up with all of the inquiries on these cuties while we conduct the day to day duties involved with running a rescue. As always... thanks for your patience and your support for Deacon's Hope!
We are excited to launch The Leyna Fund for low-income families who are struggling to spay their female dog.
GOAL: With the help of generous donors, our goal is to provide one spay per month to a low-income family who is not able to afford a spay but is providing a safe and loving home environment for a female dog. We here at Deacon’s Hope Rescue struggle daily with the overpopulation of dogs and, the various health issues surrounding female dogs. We are of the firm belief that all dogs should be spayed and neutered to help combat the continuously growing overpopulation of dogs. We would like to tackle part of this problem by spaying one female dog per month as long as funds are available. BENEFITS: Spaying your female dog will reduce unwanted pregnancies, ovarian cancer and, serious health issues like deadly pyometra. ...more here! |
